ComicVine- If you have been one of the many people paying attention to the Marvel/Disney merger, then today is the day you have probably been waiting for. We previously reported that the Marvel deal would not become official until the last day of 2009, in other words, today. Earlier this morning, Marvel Entertainment, Inc. held their promised Marvel stockholders meeting.
According to Marketwatch, Marvel shareholders have officially approved the acquisition by the Walt Disney Co. Iconic characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man and the X-Men are now officially Disney properties. The deal will be official upon the market closing later today (Thursday).
